The map is large enough but outside of the main quest it doesn't offer much. The city is dusty and full of raiders, civilians, legion, and mercenary groups and worse yet, swarms of diseased dogs (this was actually a planned feature of Denver so it's a not to the lore). Though you were captured you'll find yourself being offered a large reward by said capture. You find yourself captured and sent to Denver Colorado on a mission to find and kill a man named Porter.
This mod as the first one, focuses on another location that was planned for Black Isles Fallout 3 and later Obsidian's Fallout New Vegas. It works 100% but there's no independent questline to work with the Boulder Dome and as such I wont spoil it but you'll find both ending to be good but depressing.ĭog City Denver: Another mod by the creators of Boulder Dome. Unfortunately the mod team never 100% finished the mod. The mod also includes lots of nods to what Black Isles and later Obsidian originally wanted to do with Fallout 3 (later became New Vegas) such as the Environmental Armor. You'll meet various communities along the way along with tons of cool Easter eggs like a haunted toy store from a Stephen King novel. In Boulder you'll have to pick between the NCR or Brotherhood and work with one or the other to either save or destroy the Dome. A dead city with roaming NCR death teams that shoot on sight in order to stop the spread of disease and of course the Boulder Dome, a large fallout shelter for the elite of the world. A vast scrapyard full of strange mutants, large cats, ants with spit from Xenpmorphs, and Brotherhood of Steel troops. and Chinese troops locked in stalemate that are now ghouls that don't know the war has ended.
You'll have to explore and negotiate, or shoot though everything from a static trench line full of U.S. Beyond Boulder Dome: A very large well voiced quest that takes you to Boulder Colorado (a location that was going to be in Van Buran which is what Fallout New Vegas was modeled off of).
